Mount Abu is a popular hill station destination in Rajasthan. It is referred to as 'an oasis in the desert' as its heights are home to rivers, lakes, waterfalls and evergreen forests. It is the only hill station in Rajasthan. The famous tourist destination is known for its Delwara Jain temples and natural beauty world over. Dilwara Jain Temples :

The Jain Dilwara temples are situated at Mount Abu in Rajasthan. These temples built by Chalukya between the 11th and 13th centuries AD. It is world famous for their stunning use of marble. The five legendary marble temples of Dilwara are a sacred pilgrimage place of the Jains. Dilwara Jain Temple are one of the most beautiful Jain pilgrimage sites in the world. The temples are in the midst of a range of forested hills. A high wall shrouds the temple complex. The ornamental detail spreading over the minutely carved ceilings, doorways, pillars and panels is simply marvelous. Dilwara Jain Temples is one of the finest Jain temple known world over for its extraordinary architecture and marvelous marble stone carvings.


Gaumukh Temple :

Gaumukh is located at Mount Abu in Rajasthan.Sage Vashishtha lived here with his wife and a wish fulfilling cow, gifted him by the Devas, after they obtained it from the churning of the ocean, with eight other jewels. The cow is considered a sacred animal by those who make religious pilgrimages to the Gaumukh Temple and nearby the temple you will find a spring that is believed to have emerged from the mouth of a rock that is shaped similar to a cows head. A large marble statue of a cow has been built on the site. The bull is representative of Nandi, who was Shiva's vehicle. There is a stream of water that flows from the mouth of the marble bull. You can visit to the Gaumukh Temple and enjoy walking excursions, picnics as well as viewing the beautiful temple and its statues. The Gaumukh Temple is also popular for religious pilgrimages and meditation.


Adhar Devi Temple :

The Adhar Devi Temple is one of the most famous religious tourist destinations in the Mount Abu. The Adhar Devi Temple is situated in a cave. The Adhar Devi Temple is reached by climbing up 365 stairs carved into the mountain. The Adhar Devi temple contains many beautiful statues, and those that make the effort to climb the stairs are rewarded with many picturesque views of the surrounding mountains and forests. The Adhar Devi Temple is dedicated to the Goddess Durga. The Adhar Devi temple receives most pilgrims during the 9 days of the holy Navratri season.


Shri Raghunathji Temple :

Shri Raghunath Ji Temple is a significant religious attraction in Mount Abu, Sharing its propinquity to the Nakki Lake. It was constructed in the 14th century by a Hindu scholar, Shri Ramanand, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. , it is a famous pilgrim place for Hindu religious devotees. The temple stands as a rich heritage of century old Mewar culture. A visit to this temple is supposed to relieve all pains and pangs from the life of the pilgrim. The central attraction of the temple is the magnificent statue of Shri Raghunath Ji. Besides devotees, the temple attracts a fair number of tourists every day.


Nakki Lake :

Nikki Lake situated is very beautiful lake in Mount Abu. It is the mythological lake with a very interesting story behind its creation. The legend has it that this lake was Dugg by Gods using their nails that's why the name Nakki Lake. It is also the only Indian artificial lake situated at a height of 1200 Mtr's above sea level. You can enjoy the picture perfect location of the lake, mountains, gardens and rock formations. In the evening you can enjoy boating at Nakki Lake and also enjoy the pictures view of setting sun with your partner, friends and family.

By Flight :

The nearest airport is Udaipur at a distance of 185 km from Mount Abu. But Ahmedabad is having better connectivity, having daily flights with other parts of the country. Ahmedabad is appox 221 kms from Mount Abu.

By Train :

The nearest railway station of Mount abu is just 28 KM from the main city centre. Which is very well connected to New Delhi, Ahmadabad, Jaipur, and Mumbai.

By Road :

Mount Abu is well linked by road with major cities of India, with the closest national freeway no. 14 at a distance of just 24 km from the main city centre.
