Jaisalmer Fort :

Jaisalmer Fort is one of the largest forts in the world. It is situated on Meru Hill in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. Jaisalmer Fort was built in 1156 AD by the Bhati Rajput ruler Jaisal, It is also called the "Golden Fort" or "Sonar Quila". Colourful shades of the setting sun and golden hues of the desert ambience give a fairy tale look to this mega structured fort. The interior of this fort is amazing. During medieval times, the city played a major role in trade with Persia, Arabia, Egypt and Africa. The fort contains 3 layers of walls.

Patwon ki Haveli :

Patwon ki haveli is the largest Haveli in Jaisalmer, it was built in the year 1805 by Guman Chand Patwa and his five sons. The entire haveli is grid of pillared halls, large corridors, lavishly chiseled ceilings and ostentatiously decorated walls which depicts everyday court scenes, village scenes and other artistic concepts. The office of the Archeological Survey of India and State art and craft department is situated in the haveli itself.

Salim Singh's Haveli :

Salim Singh's Haveli was constructed by Deewan Salim Singh in the first half of the 18th century, consisting of 38 balconies and all have distinct designs for themselves. This haveli is actually worth seeing only from outside. The mansion has a beautifully arched roof with superb carved brackets in the form of peacocks. Haveli was commissioned by Salim Singh who was the Prime Minister of the kingdom when Jaisalmer was the capital.

Gadi Sagar Lake :

Gadi Sagar Lake of Jaisalmer is a perfect stopover to relax and enjoy nature's beauty. A manmade water reservoir was constructed by Raja Rawal Jaisal the first ruler of Jaisalmer and most importance of the place is the fact that it was the only source of water for the Jaisalmer city in the olden days. You can also visit temples, Shrines and Ghats surround the banks of Gadi Sagar Lake in Jaisalmer. This artificial reservoir comes alive during the Ganguar festival. One can enjoy a boat ride on the lake and see the yellow sandstone banks which looks beautiful with the setting sun.

Sam Sand Dunes :

Sam Sand dunes is just 40 kms west of the Jaisalmer city. Sand dunes gives a magical feeling once visitors are in the deserts. The picturesque beauty of sand dunes here is amazing as wind unceasingly carves out scenic patterns on the desert sand; the colour changing with the shift of the shadow with passing time ripples on the dunes create an enchanting mirage.It is the barren yet beautiful shifting sand dunes ad joining the village Sam. Here one can have a ride on camel - the ship of desert in the desert sea. Beautiful folk dancers enrich the visitor's experience with traditional flavour of joy.
